Come make things that move.

Fifteen people, no account layer, eleven roles open. If you want your work seen rather than filtered through three approval rounds, read on.

Your name goes on the work. Not the studio’s alone.
Fifteen people, Colombo

We’re small on purpose, and we intend to stay that way.

Fifteen people means the person who briefs a project is the person who makes it. There’s no account team translating your idea into someone else’s words, and no layer of approvals between you and the client. You will present your own work.

It also means the work is visible. Every project that ships carries the names of the people who made it, internally and in our case studies. If you do something excellent here, people will know it was you.

The trade is that we expect judgement rather than task completion. Nobody will hand you a fully specified ticket. You’ll be asked what you think, and we’ll expect a real answer.

How the studio actually runs.

Not values on a wall — the three things you’d notice in your first fortnight.

Reviews happen in the open

Work goes on the wall twice a week, unfinished, in front of everyone including the founders. Nobody polishes in private for three weeks and then unveils. It’s uncomfortable for a month and then it’s the best part of the job.

We protect deep work

Mornings are meeting-free by default across the whole studio. Slack has no expectation of instant reply. If a project needs late nights to land, we treat that as a scoping failure on our side, not commitment on yours.

Craft is the whole point

We turn down work that can’t be done properly, and we’ve walked away from budgets that would have been good for the quarter. Everyone here would rather ship six things they’re proud of than sixteen they’re not.

Four things we hire and fire on.

These aren’t aspirational. They’re the criteria in every review conversation.

Say the hard thing

Early, kindly, and to the person’s face. A concern raised in week one is feedback. The same concern in week six is a problem.

Understand before making

Nobody opens a design tool until they can explain the client’s business problem in a sentence. Curiosity is a job requirement here.

Finish what you start

The last ten percent is the work. We measure people on what shipped and held up, not on what was nearly ready.

Leave it better documented

Every project hands over cleanly — files named, decisions written down. The next person shouldn’t have to reverse-engineer your thinking.

What we actually offer.

No table football, no unlimited leave that nobody takes. Things people here said they wanted.

24 days leave, actually taken

Plus public holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year, studio-wide. Leads are measured on whether their team uses it.

Private medical cover

Full cover for you from day one, extendable to a partner and children at studio cost. Dental and optical included.

Learning budget that rolls over

An annual allowance for courses, conferences, books or kit — and if you don’t spend it this year it carries into the next.

Hybrid, with a real studio

Three days in, two wherever you work best. The studio exists because some things genuinely are better in a room together — reviews, shoots, kickoffs.

Friday afternoons for your own work

Half a day a week on something that isn’t client work. Several of our best case studies started as someone’s Friday project.

Profit share, explained

A share of studio profit distributed twice yearly, with the numbers shown to everyone. You’ll know how the business is doing and why.

Five stages, about three weeks.

You’ll know where you stand at every point, and you’ll hear back either way. The paid exercise is genuinely paid.

01

Apply

Portfolio or work samples and a short note. No cover letter, no application form.

02

Intro call

Thirty minutes with the discipline lead. Mostly us answering your questions.

03

Paid exercise

A real, scoped brief. Four hours maximum, paid at our day rate, yours to keep.

04

Studio day

Half a day with the team. You present the exercise; we show you what we’re working on.

05

Offer

Within 48 hours of the studio day, with the salary band we advertised. No negotiation games.

Eleven roles, all live.

Open a role for the detail. If nothing fits but you think we should talk anyway, say so — we’ve hired that way before.

Lead the build on our largest platform projects and set the technical standard the rest of the team works to. You’ll own architecture decisions, performance budgets and the accessibility bar, and you’ll be in client rooms explaining them.

Engineering Full-time Colombo (Hybrid) 5+ years

Turn art-directed designs into fast, accessible interfaces without losing what made the design good. Comfortable with GSAP and scroll-driven work, or keen to be — a lot of what we build moves.

Engineering Full-time Colombo (Hybrid) 2+ years

Own product work end to end — research, flows, interface, design system. You’ll sit with client product teams and you’ll be expected to argue for the user when the brief doesn’t.

Design Full-time Colombo (Hybrid) 3+ years

Brand and campaign work across print and screen — identity systems, packaging, editorial, campaign artwork. A generalist’s role for someone with a strong typographic instinct.

Design Full-time Colombo (Hybrid) 2+ years

Run paid and lifecycle campaigns against revenue targets, not impressions. You’ll build the tracking, brief the creative, read the data and present the result to clients yourself.

Marketing Full-time Colombo (Hybrid) 2+ years

Plan and run always-on social for a handful of clients — content systems rather than one-off posts, plus community management and the monthly read on what worked.

Marketing Full-time Colombo (Hybrid) 1+ years

Write and produce across channels — website copy, campaign lines, long-form articles and the scripts behind our social output. Strong writing matters more than a content-marketing CV.

Content Full-time Colombo (Hybrid) 2+ years

Shoot product, campaign and editorial work in our studio and on location. You’ll art-direct your own shoots alongside the brand team and handle grading through to delivery.

Film & Motion Full-time Colombo (On-site) 3+ years

Shoot and edit brand films, campaign spots and documentary work. Comfortable owning a small crew, and equally comfortable being the whole crew on a two-person shoot.

Film & Motion Full-time Colombo (On-site) 3+ years

Own technical audits, content strategy and the long compounding work of authority building. You’ll work directly with our engineers, so you need to be able to explain a fix as well as flag it.

Marketing Full-time Remote (Sri Lanka) 3+ years

Build assistants, agents and generative pipelines on top of client workflows that already exist. Equal parts engineering and process archaeology — you’ll spend the first fortnight of every project watching how people actually work.

Before you apply.

No. We’ve hired people from design school, from computer science, from journalism and from no formal training at all. What we look at is the work and how you talk about it. If your portfolio is strong, nobody will ask where you studied.

Yes, at our standard day rate, invoiced or paid directly, whether or not you get an offer. It’s capped at four hours and the brief is scoped to fit that. We don’t use exercises as free work — nothing produced in one has ever gone to a client.

Bands are shared at the intro call, before the exercise, so you never invest time without knowing the number. Offers come in at the band we quoted. We don’t negotiate upward for whoever pushes hardest, because that mostly rewards confidence rather than ability.

Most roles are hybrid at three days in the studio. Film and photography roles are on-site because the kit and the studio floor are. The SEO role is fully remote within Sri Lanka. We’re honest about this up front rather than advertising flexibility we can’t deliver.

Write to us anyway. Three of the fifteen people here arrived through an open application for a role that didn’t exist yet. Tell us what you do and what you’d want to do here — that’s more useful than a CV against a spec.

About three weeks from application to offer, and we’ll tell you where you stand at every stage. You’ll always get a reply, including a no — with a reason, if you want one.
